Dream Factory Geneva - LSGG 2004

Hi Chaps.

So impressed was I with Brussels X, I've gone and bought their Geneva airport..

Framerates are good on my old XP3200+.. much better than the freeware airport so I'm a happy bunny :) Reading the single review on Simmarket, it seems that the Afcad will send large aircraft over to the other side of the airfield (GA only) but I've not seen this yet. Traffic 'in shot' are courtesy of CalClassics (there's that Caravelle again Dan) ;-) I see a little ground texture flicker today I didn't notice yesterday but this is likely to be due to my system and overlapping mesh rather than anything wrong with the scenery itself.

A free upgrade for FSX users is promised but not yet available. If you like flying to Geneva and can't run the freeware scenery.. this is just the ticket ;-)

Looks pretty neat to me. And you being master of afcads now (!) you should have no problems at all correcting that minor placement issue ;-)

It's a really nice bit of scenery... perhaps not as detailed as the latest 'Fly Tampa' stuff, but if you want Geneva I have to agree it's spot on and certainly better then the other payware verion that I had

Kind regards

John

I live just a few kilometers from the airport. Got this scenery almost as soon as it was released.

Had a few problems with disappearing autogen around the airport, but Imanaged to get most of it back. :)

Hi John,

I think it's pretty good but have no local knowledge so couldn't vouch for it's accuracy. Odd that the tearing I mentioned doesn't happen if I start from there.. only if I fly to it  Had this happen with a number of addon's so it's not unique to the DF software ;-)

I've always enjoyed flying to and from Geneva in flightsim.. especially in what I'd call 'marginal' aircraft. You really have to work in the older jets to get to the right place at the right time and at the right altitude.. similar in many ways to the next major airport on the other side of the Alps.. Turin :cpu:
