So to have all the RAF varients you will be spending £42 on two packs, the Extra pack 1+2, but if you want all 3 pack you save £7 on the price of about £60!!! However on the plus side the SP2 (C-130 service pack) is included and more models than whats available for FS9!!! Hopefully its a good job i have the C-130 from Just Flight and they will have the FSX update added for free... :prayer:

Chris..

Do you not have to buy the base pack anyway?? I seem to remember this being the case with other CS releases and if that is so.. this is one addon I certainly won't be buying.

EDIT..
It doesn't say you have to buy the base package and looking at the 757 family, you don't need the base pack to use the cargo model so it looks as if you're right Chris ;-)

Wow, thats a bit on the hefty side. Shame really as the CS C-130 is one of the most flown aircraft in my hangar. That said all of the good stuff is in packs 1 & 2, the base pack seems relatively boring so it you can get away with not owning it that is probably the most sensible route.

Yep, once again, instead of putting the most popular models together on one pack, they spread them across two so you get a bunch of models you don't want just to get the 5 or 6 that you do.

Why can't they be logical on this stuff? Put all the American models on one package and all the foreign/civilian models on another. You'll get more sales that way because there will be a good number of people who will not buy the new package because they don't want to spend so much money on models they don't need.

Im hoping that JF do have the update to FSX free for the DVD, but it would proberly be just the models included on the DVD updated and not to any specific FSX pack set, else its another fork out £40 +, like you said, for loads of models i wont want for the few i do. Why cant they do Country packs like UK, US with the civi ones seperate... Also CS have a poll on their forums asking what FS9 models are wanted for release!!! Looks like everyone voted on all models so they may all be released but know when that will be though... |-)

Way too overpriced. I know people go on about the cost of man hours and research, but with prices like that, you're really limiting yourself to more of a 'hardcore' market.

I often steer clear of payware aircraft (unless really cheap, like the CS F-104), as I simply wouldn't get enough use out of them to warrant paying too much money for them. I don't like going on long flights, working to the manual as I go. A casual jaunt around an airfield every once in a while is more than enough for me, maybe with the added 'realistic' operation thrown in along the way. :flying: But if I want to do that in an RAF C-130J, then I have to pay £49 for the privilege?

I paid £22 for Flight Environment X, which is a bargain in comparison. Something that'll ALWAYS be in use, so I can justify spending paper money on it.

Thats just spot on, why get rid of what they did for FS9??? I would have thought that was a really good way of providing individual models to the person who may want just the J, or the AC etc... But now to get one your going to have to fork out £40+ for a model... STUPID <----- Can we have one that says "I'm NOT Stupid" please???
