Classic British Flight Sim

Hi guys,

So this Sunday we decided to go for a drive and we were then fortunate enough to go to Thunder City and take in the scenery, why I forgot to take my camera with is still beyond me! But I had my cell phone which can take something resembling photos, and only a few due to low memory. So please excuse the low quality, but here is what I saw, the four Lightnings got my attention and there were also a few Hawker Hunters and Buccaneers there along with a few other aircraft - all in flying condition too!! In particular I felt very privileged to be in the presence of FOUR almost daily operated Lightnings!! And since it was Sunday I even had the task of helping tow two of them back into the hanger!!

Hopefully in a few weeks time I will get to see them in action at the TFDC fly-in.

Nice shots there so lucky in South Africa you can fly any fast jets out there :@ how many lightings do they have at Thunder City?

Currently they only have four, but it was really something to see them all flying in formation last year at the Ysterplaat AAD 2006 Airshow!!

Now I seem to remember I said some time ago, I would love to have the opportunity (and money) to fly in the lightning at Thunder City but someone said something along the lines of "you wouldn't if you knew what I knew"

I still wonder what that is!! :think:

Well, it ain't cheap - I don't have the most fantastic car but still decent I'd say, and I don't think I would be able to afford even one of their cheaper flips if I were to porn off my car for the joy-ride ticket!! Plus I've heard that it's a raw experience, don't expect it to be like your average rollercoaster day excursions - most people spend hours or a day or so recovering from the "ordeal". And if you are a smoker, don't for at least a day before you go up - affects the way your body absorbs oxygen or something to that extent. Where do I sign up??? LOL

Wow, that looks really good!! Is that your model? If so, how long have you been working on it, if/when released will it be freeware or payware?
