Thunder in the mountains

Hi all,
My first attempt at a screenie....be gentle

Lots of comment about unusually high decibel levels around McLeland field this weekend - seems that there may be some activity related to an unexpected airshow of sorts...with some surprises...... ;-)

Seen apparently practising formation flying somewhere near McLeland Field just a few minutes ago......

Now then, what could be happening? Anything lurking in the restricted area at McLeland?? ;-)

Niiice :) Loud noises and bangs are not uncommon up here
Don't forget to pop in the naafi bar when you land for a few pints :)

Jim,

I guess that is Russell Fjord going down towards Hobart Glacier...Can you let me know if you have the flashing Red and Green buoys marking the deep water navigation channel through there...I'm not sure how I released it so you may or may not have it.

You might need to fly down there low and slow in something a bit smaller to see them...I sometimes use a boat :)

Hi Peter,

Yes the Nav lights are visible (alternating flashing) in that location :)
