i have now upgradeed my photoshop to CS3. my question is when saving to fs, i'am asked if i wish to save to 16/24/32 bits. with my old photoshop 6 i was limited to 16/24 only. so do i gain anything with 32 or is it of no use to fs9.

Good question. I have used 32 bit for my repaints in the past and then DXT3'ed them. Worked fine in fs9 with no hickups. My feeling was that the 32-bit did make a difference. And the DXTBmp program does support 32 bit formats, but that means 24-bit for the texture and 8 bits for the alpha or what they call the 888-8 format. So, I'm still puzzling if it works. Give it a try and let me know you're findings. xwink

I always save in 24 bit In Photoshop and 32-888_8 in DXT adding the alpha in DXT from a seperate folder
