Nice Garry

Like the one of the MG outside a boozer (The Gloucester Arms). It was one of the pubs the good lady and I trained at when we joined Ind-Coope Taylor Walker! :o

It's....as they say.a small world

The site came up as a Bristol Freighter hit during one of my regular seaches for information to fill gaps that still need filling :)

Still I have now yet another pic of G-ANWM :)

As was the Beaufighter Garry. I passed one on the A34 a while ago and it was typically understated like the others. If you're gonna have a car with a 'name'.. forget Ferrari, Porsche and even Aston Martin to a degree.. what better reply could one have when asked what car they drive than a 'Bristol Beafighter'!! Works for me every, single time ;-)

Years ago I used to work for a guy who owned a Bristol car - it just stank of quality. They did a Beaufighter as well. Due to the fuel consumption of these beasts. the name Bristol 188 would probably have been more appropriate.

Best wishes

Wonderful site Garry Oh, those were the days. My father had an old Austin seven with the arm that stuck out as an indicator then it was onto a Hillman Minx column gear change then the good old Morris 1100s'. As well as one of these for the week-ends I also had the priviledge of driving it:
