Trident 1E cockpit/panel

Hi all

I was wondering if anybody had had good panel shots of a Trident 1E. (ie: not including a moving map display.) I've found lots of pictures of 1C's and 3B's but no good ones of the 1E. I do have a 1E manual with layout illustrations of the panel but they are not clear enough to get a real feel for the appearance.

Hope someone can help.

Brendan.

Here you go Brendan,

Not the clearest picture granted but I had to make it larger than the original :)

Thanks Dave,

That's a great help. It is actually the clearest period picture I've found so far! I'm not even sure if any 1E's are extant outside China: certainly the only pictures one finds nowadays are of ex-BEA Ones, Twos and 3B's.

Many thanks for your help,

Brendan.

There's a recent-ish pic of a chinese 1E on Airliners.net :

Not sure if that helps or not.

That's not a bad picture John. Looks pretty much identical.. just missing the warning panel, nav panel, clock and RMI as far as I can see :) If there's anything else.. I've forgotten already

The Chinese 1E's were second hand so it may well of been identical to the one in your pic Dave.

It would be interesting to see how much diffence there is between a 1E and a non BEA 2E........that is without the BEA special fit there may be more similar between a non BEA 2E and 1E than between a BEA 2 and a CAAC 2.

Maybe Neil or Toby will be along HELP
