As I suspected from the labelling of the first box I found, a little rooting around has produced 2 more boxes of slides from the 50th Anniversary celebrations at Abingdon in June 1968. This one is biplanes and helicopters - the props (including many WW2 types) will follow soon.

Again Pete...

.superb :yipeee:
The exposures on those dificult light and dark areas is nothing short of astounding and probably as good as could be achieved then.
It is so hard to find pics of that age that look like they were taken today with the equipement we have now.
Outsrtandiong and again thank you for sharing them and a big tahnk you to those who allow you to show them.

There's a memory stirrer... I was on parade at Abingdon that day, it was so hot that the polish melted off my boots. I also seem to remember Her Majesty getting the odd spot of blue & red dye from the Reds on her otherwise immaculate attire!

That first one would be a stunner for Rick's new toy (when it arrives).

Love that sycamore! All of the aircraft are immaculate... not a mark on them. Hope her Majesty appreciated them.

The Hawker Hind was ex Afghan AF, and is now part of the RAF Museum at Cosford.
Never seen an identity for this aircraft.

I think that Hind is an Afgan Hind (no really

), but it looks like it has the gunners cockpit of a Demon. Perhaps this is correct, 1930s stuff is not my speciality. I think those Sycamores served at RAF Northolt well into the 1970s!
EDIT Bolleaux!!!! why does it take me so long to type these, somebody always beats me to posting by a minute or two
