Interesting, It's pretty comprehensive by the looks of it. No VC which is odd considering the price and panel isn't the most realistic looking, but overall a good looking job.

A bit rich me thinks mate. Everything on the site seems to be $35 :o A further $35 for the X-15A-2 and a further $35 for the 15-2/3!! I'd want a go in the real thing for that much

I wish them much success but I'm afraid the $35.00 price tag is going to frighten off many/most potential customers. :-# Now, if they build a model of SpaceShip One with a VC, then... ;-)

The price must be behind the 'Extreme' name

Now that is sad... the pricing, that is. I would watch anything I could on spaceflight and the X planes when I was a lot younger. I loved that one about the X15 and I think I may still invest in one of the models, but only if I rally have it spare...

Certainly looks like a seven-year-old's dream machine...

I agree, Chris. I'm sure it's a good sim, but for the price seems a tad steep...and I'd really wish it had a VC (yes, I'm one of those people)

I still have Massimo Altieri's excellent freeware X-15 on my FS9 setup (search for filename x15c.zip on All Nodes). It was made for FS2002, but still works in FS9...and the VC is pretty nice.

As a fan of VC's, this is actually one aircraft that probably does not need one, visibility is not really its forte! I guess they have included side views? Still, 35$ for all models seems to be a fairer price, I bet they do sell many!
FSX is meant to reach into space, so the X15 would be interesting there.

Am I right in thinking the X-15 was always air-launched from a B-52's armpit, rather than taking off under its own power ?

I've only ever known it as air launch...I thought the reason being the amount of fuel it would take to get up there as the tanks were small and the useage high :dunno:

I think so Paul.. especially as it had skids and not wheels on the rear end. Again.. I could be wrong though :)
