It's because 95% of the crew are Brits. The French wouldn't be smart enough to use an engine as a musical instrument. Only Brits and RedNecks would.
BTW, notice on the comments that someone is dumb enough to think that the song is 'My Country 'Tis of Thee' (which was written as a snub to Britain after the Revolution).

When they arrived on the Friday they only had the engine programmed to play the Marseilleise. Lord March suggested that they might come up with something more appropriate for his front lawn, so overnight they came up with the programming for God Save The Queen.
Ironically the giant pringle they set up under would have been far more use in the rain this year - the wettest since '98.

On the subject of God Save the Queen, isn't it time something more appropriate was played instead of (sorry to say) a very dull and dreary song totally lacking in anything inspiring?
What about:
Jeruselem? No..... The Palastinians would probably object, not to mention some other countries!!
They'll always be an England........well, maybe.
Rule Britannia? Doubt it........Very little in the way of a Navy!!
Land of Hope and Glory?????
What do you guys think? Time to break with tradition and give us something to sing and feel proud about??!!
