Hi all,
recently went
'darn sarf' to Newquay for a little camping with the missus. Gave us an opportunity to visit some of the beautiful unspoilt shoreline along the Cornish coast. Here's just a few snap's, including a few of movements out of RNAS Culdrose which seemed active all week. Nice to see as well. Also saw ARGUS moored up at Falmouth.
St-Ives beach
YHA Building at Lizard point
Watergate Bay (nr Newquay)
Falmouth Docks

Lovely part of the country for sure.
I love it when the guys at Exeter University (actually the part of it between Falmouth and Truro.............) call me down there. The job gets well 'spun out'........
Did you get to the Helford River too? One of the most beautiful parts of the whole of the UK to my mind.

Did'nt get the chance. We spent time virtually everywhere else though. St-Ives, St-Mawgan, Truro, Lizard, Penzance, Helston and one of the nicest places I have ever been - Padstow. That was just beautiful but full of very posh people, so naturally I slotted in nicely(!)

What great pictures, and terrific weather too by the look of it. Makes me want to pack my bucket and spade and buy a train ticket.

I remember her being built (converted?) at Harlands. Remember waking up every day for a year and looking down watching her below Samson & Goliath. .... I also remeber her coming back a year later to have the blue aspestos removed.
She is a lovely big ship... but I am biased.

Very nice Eddie.
We used to go for a week in Perranporth every year in my old mans even older Capri when I was a kid.
Best holidays i've ever had.

Hi Rob,
funny you should mention classic vehicles. Me and the missus are on the lookout for one of these now
Seeing as we fell in love with them whilst down there. I must admit being a VW nut since a kid. There were plenty down there and they just looked the dogs. If we ever get round to purchasing one (and they go for silly money) we may never set foot on a plane ever again.
