Happy eleventyfirst birthday today to Henry Allingham, ex-RNAS, founder member of the RAF, and also last survivor of the Battle of Jutland. The RAF are doing a flypast for him at Portsmouth today, and 2nd Sea Lord is lunching with him on HMS Victory.

What a wonderful way to spend your birthday, hope he thoroughly enjoys it. As for his age, I think the 2nd Sea Lord will be told some amazing stories.......
