has TweakFPS borked by fs9.cfg?

I downloaded and tried the demo of TweakFPS, just had a play on the IFR but only a few mins in the sim just blacked out and closed. No error message. Fine, I reset my original fs9.cfg using the setting in TweakFPS and argh the same happens. I tried a few aircraft an airports but no, after a few minutes the sim cuts out. Finally i uninstalled TweakFPS and it's still happening.
I had this problem before when messing with my .cfg manually but i have not done so in many moons now. Since i have clicked to go back to my original .cfg i am mystified.
Does anyone recognise these symptoms? If not it's not such a big deal, just have to delete the config...
