They did the SA routes with Yorks and they would be similar to how they were when the Canadairs took over.

I seem to remember BSAA ones being metioned staging through Lisbon to the Carribean and Lisbon Recife possiblt via Dakar as a point of entry.

They certainly went to the major capitals in SA

Looking at the read me

Dorval (Montreal) - Gander - Keflavik - Northolt round robin

Skyways - Blackbush - Gatow, Gutersloh

THE BSAA routes would have been Northholt - Shannon - Bermuda - New York (not sure which one though as Idlewild/Kennedy didnt exsist

Also South American routes via Lajes to Recife to Rio/Lima/ etc etc


Theres a wbesite for BSAA somewherre Ill post it if I find it

The RAF ran fast cargo to Gib,Malta and Agadir but not sure from where

BSAA certainly flew them in S.America. They flew sectors from Buenos Aires, and I think Montevideo , to Santiago. It was one of these that was lost in the Andes and not found until 50 years later

BO756 Departs Columbo 00:45Z 06:15 (Local) Tuesday
Arrives Singapore 09:15Z 16:45 (Local) Tuesday

BO757 Departs Singapore 00:01Z 07:30 (Local) Thursday
Arrives Columbo 09:15Z 15:00 (Local) Thursday

This was the only Far East Lancastrian route in May 1948 - all the other BOAC Far East routes were "Speedbird Plymouth" (Sandringhams and/or Hythes - or possibly Solents??)(Although we lived near Southampton Marine Terminal, I was only 2 and not awfully good at distinguishing the various Short flyingboats from each other!)
