"Steve, I won't give you a kiss but hows about a 'manly' hug?? I've looked at C-9 SO many times and completely missed that one area was in #paint me pink#. Damn and bloody blast it I'm glad you read this and pointed out there was a readme. It had managed to be as elusive as the part itself!"
Dave
Only too happy to be of assistance. You don't want to go round offering to hug hairy old coppers but a copy of the finished repaint would be a welcome addition to the stable if they're going cheap.

No problem mate. Whichever ones you want, just say and they're yours

'My' real ones are G-PSNI. G-NMID, G-POLA and of course, the CBFS paint. It feels like I should have more but I've done POLA and NMID so many times, I could have almost a dozen paints to my name by now

They look superb Dave. Thanks for sharing them. Downloading them as I type. As it happens I have Birmingham xtreme to explore with them but they may even find themselves doing a bit of mutual aid round Devon & Cornwall.

Re: Who's Office might this be?

I looked at what your local force use and sadly.. its an EC 145.. a model I dearly wish Nemeth would make.. anyone would make for FSX for that matter

Again.. I have to thank you for poking me in the eye with the readme I'd missed. Had you not done so.. I'd still be floundering around trying to find where that part aliased from when no specific paint was present. Think I'd have simply borrowed Colin's hammer and beat the crap out of the pc

Any probs with the paints.. just shout and I'll do my best to fix it

Re: Who's Office might this be?
Hi Dave
Thanks for the offer. I have the regional paints for trhe 135 and 902.
I too would like to see the 145 done especially in Police Fit with nite sun etc.
I recall doing a D&C paint for the 200 or 2002 freeware BK117 and also a BO105 many years ago.
I have the nemeth 105 but that is the shorter model than the variant we had (G-DCCH) which then became one of the Devon Air Ambulances. I may when time permits have a crack at that in the old white and blue livery from the 80s to 90s.
Thanks again. Steve M

Re: Who's Office might this be?
Hi Steve
The 105 is something I'd not considered but could possibly fill a few holes for any retro fleet. I don't know the spec for the model in comparison to Police aircraft used though. You saying the model isn't the one D&C used.. perhaps it's a non-starter then
I have the AS350 mit Cambridge paint but it's such a flighty model, I'm not that struck on flying it. It takes a far lighter hand to control than I'm used to
I found a 'dumb down' suggestion on one of the Oz sites (basically using the FS9 airfile) but it dumbs it down too much IMHO. Flew it from Benbecula to Barra the other day in 'un dumbed' mode and it wasn't too bad. Nice to have something different but this really IS different
May knock up a couple of variations (Bristow I guess) for the Super Puma. We'll see
The 117 has been tweaked for FSX which I may take a look at. I pulled the FSX 'version' of the HC 412 this evening. It flies ok but hasn't been re-made.. the rotors disappear behind scenery. Got the PS for it too as I can't find the DHTS paint I had (I'm sure I had) for the FS9 model. Plenty out there.. just need the inclination to have a go
There's no paint yet for the Central Counties AOU 135 and a few others so I've enough 135's to keep chipping away at should I feel the urge. T2/P2 variants would be great. Worth paying a small expansion pack fee for should Nemeth pull their fingers out

Re: Who's Office might this be?
Hi Dave
"I wouldn't mind but that yellow part of the doormech stands proud of the fuse and is visible with the doors shut from the left.. you don't see it from the right because the mech is on the inner edge of the RH door."
You've probably fixed it by now anyway, but if you haven't.....
I don't have the model, README or anything, so I don't know if "paint me pink" or that other hint from Steve will fix your problem.
If it doesn't, perhaps the PART may be made from yellow material, and is not textured at all.
This would explain why, after removing every yellow texture, it was still yellow.
But then, you left these 2:
"What can you see yellow in that pic?? OK.. there's the reg and a single yellow door stop marker."
Maybe the texture was grabbed from one of those 2.
EDIT OH, poo! I hadn't seen your 8:45 post, I've put my foot in it again!

Hi Dave
The 105 D&C used was the stretched DBS-4 model whereas the Nemeth is the standard 105. There is a nice West Yorkshire Police repaint for that model in White and blue with the dayglo yellow stripe along the bottom of the fuselage.
Despite the lack of Police fit and being a different variant I may sin and have a crack at doing DCCH as it is a while since I last painted anything. Something to do while we still have dark winter nights.

Re: Who's Office might this be?
I thought I was timewarped backwards for a min or so Mike
Yup.. it's sorted now
Steve.. yes, I'd stumbled across the Yorks Police paint for the 105 which helped keep my interest. Looks very dated now doesn't it
It's nice to see that many of these airframes live on as 'Med' helicopters in the UK. Surprising too that many of our forces helicopters aren't new.. that is, they're secondhand
Still.. they must cost a packet secondhand and I appreciate that every penny a force spends has to be justified.
Should you get the paint pots out again.. looking forward to a D&C paint for the 105. I'll have to add it to my shopping list
