Thanks Larry, many of us are all over the world, and there will be a lot of us in a similar position. I'd like to get a good idea on numbers by Wednesday.

Ben,
Could you kindly enquire if there is an address/ reference where we can send cards to? I think most crematoria allow them to be sent direct there, or to funeral directors also.
thanks
Pete

That would be very good, if possible.

I would have dearly love to come as I had the greatest respect for Dave, in his posts he always referred me as Nige which tickled me but unfortunately due to disability and presently unwell I am not able to make the journey but on the day I will be thinking of him and his family who will be well supported by the presence of CBFS Members.
Rest in Peace Dave, you may have gone, but you will never be forgotten.
Nigel.

Hi chaps, I've asked if cards can be sent to the crematorium and I'll let you know when I can.

Sorry, can't make it as I'm picking up our new campervan that morning, which we're taking to Scotland the very next day for a long planned holiday, hoped it was any other day around that date, as I might have been able to juggle timings. If things change at this end, I'll post here.

That's the same crematorium where both my Mother's and my Father's services took place.
I'm unsure if I will be able to attend but I can certainly let you know by Wednesday.
If Dave's family have nominated a charity for donations, I would like to have the details.
Thanks Ben for your efforts in dealing with this.
Kevin

I just got home from a few days visit with daughter and grandchildren and discovered this absolutely shocking news. I never met Dave, being in the Colonies, but like many of you, I felt like I knew him. Always willing to help others, Dave also had a great, typically British sense of humour and I always enjoyed his posts on here. To say he will be missed misses the mark because I equated him with CBFS - he was the heart and soul of this forum. My condolences to Alison, Helen and everyone else who knew Dave. RIP And smooth sailing you old salt!
