Covered in dust mate.
The Wildcat is hung up in the garage over the bike.
I always look at the bike and smile. It'll come out when the weather brightens up.
One hobby rules the heart one hobby rules the head..
Still enjoy running though. That keeps the lard off.

Tell me about it.
Whats bothered me the most is I have'nt found out where it crashed.
I just hope it did'nt hurt anyone or damage anything.
Nothing in the local news so I guess thats a relief.
Knew it'd happen one day. Just did'nt expect it to vanish!

Camera borrowed off a mate. This one is a HD one. Much better quality.
Flew the champ the other day with a similar one on and it flew ok.
It's so light that it really affects the c of g. Better underneath than over the top of the wings.
I'll post a video once the weather clears up and I can get out.

Nice one Eddie
I've had a BT bloke here for an hour to try and see why my speed has dropped off. He found nothing conclusive.. it was capped to 132Mbps for some reason

.. I didn't do it but he's had that taken off and some speed has returned. So.. I've spent a while watching Hawk videos. Goes without saying.. I want one
The rain has gone for a while but it's still too gusty here for the Champ

I might risk it a bit later

The EZ Hawk is, for the money, one of the best currently out there.
I did some Googling on the Hawk and watched reviews on YouTube. All very positive.
Its cheap and cheerful and will do the job. Most of the time...When it decides to come back!
Range should'nt be an issue with the Hawk as its 2.4Ghz. Thats why I think that something worked loose or came away in flight.
Something for me to inspect before and after every flight from now on.
If your thinking of a Hawk, I got mine from here.

About the cheapest place you can get them and arrived very quick.
You'll be surprised how big it is. Much bigger than the Champ and tests your nerve the first time you fly it.
Now your hooked, tell Mrs B I'm sorry.

Ben.. head for the plastic mate
Yup.. I looked at the vids and it was Nitrotek I'd landed on by some happy coincidence

I'd better wait until I'm 'earning' before I let rip though.

One of those vids (the one with the young American lad flying it close to the wall saying 'DO NOT FLY OVER THE RIFLE RANGE') showed just how big the Hawk is.. that or he was vertically challenged. It WILL fly relatively slow too which suits me
Never got the chance to get the Champ out this afternoon.. the BT engineer has only just left

It's nice outside now so I may sneak half an hour in after dinner

It is big mate. The first time I launched it I just got it up high and well away from the ground until I got a feel for it.
The Hawk is only three channel (same as the Champ). However you don't have a rudder on the Hawk.
It has Ailerons and Elevator.
One thing I like about the Hawk is the way the motor is mounted. Rearward facing so you avoid potential damage during landings.
However it does take a bit to master the (hand) launch as it tends to go nose heavy for a few seconds when you release it and power on.
I made the mistake of launching it first time with full throttle and it pushed it straight into the ground!
Having looked at other owners feedback on the web its best to launch on minimal power. The thing is practically a glider and floats around for fun.
A good camera plane as well mate. Thats a must if you opt for one.
This is what I'm getting next, subject to SWMBO giving it the green light.
