Superb! Even the Aim-9 models look fantastic!

Nice to know you're getting your head round it all, too. It shows it can be done, and you can really see the benefits of having all the extra little bells and whistles, such as the bump mapping.

It's not always desirable to flush rivet all surfaces, there are strength and aerodynamic reasons apart from build cost issues that drive those decisions.

Hi Guys

some neg criticism on a German forum from a chap called "Martin"

aparently he doesn't understand that these are Beta shots and nothing is finished :dunno:

i tried to join the German forum but it won't let me.

& the reason i have not painted the latest Red Arrows livery is i think it looks poop
with Royal Airforce on the sides.

I was told that it's because half the world have no idea where the red Arrows are from.

but that makes no sense to me as it could be Saudi etc.

plus all liveries in the screenshots are unfinished as is the model!

there will be no Red Arrows livery in the pack anyway as it's copyrighted.

freeware livery will follow so don't worry.

Regards
Rick :fart:

Rick,

Sadly I see your encountering the ugly side of commercial work, my advice FWIW is to ignore it, you certainly do not need to publically justify your work or screen shots, those that want to know do know where its at and at what stage its in, those that dont are not worth the stress. Do what you feel is right and lets you sleep easy at night, for the rest, a hyper link to FSDS, Gmax, Max and FFDS for tutorials should suffice. Those that matter trust you in your judement and skills.

Kindest

Michael

Hi Michael

i have had the same thing for Freeware over the years so it's not a problem.

the world is full of people that rely on someone else's opinion without actually having the necassary experience to comment.

the odd thing is these people don't make mistakes.

Old Chinese Proverb!

"man that make no mistake make nothing!"

thats how i look at it

i am not allowed to have a Red Arrows livery in the Payware Package anyway & he missed the lack of a Union Jack on the fin flash & the Mk4 MB Bang seats which is unfogivable in my view :dunno:

Bottom line is anyone wants to make a better one for free i will even send you the drawings

Regards
Rick

Nicely put Michael, I might have been a little less diplomatic myself

Rick, everyone knows your work and how good it is, don't pay any attention to any of it they are all just jealous anyway
that they can't produce such great work themselves.
I am looking forward to this next release as I'm sure half the planet is.
