I was at RAF Scampton in the Seventies, when 'Just Jane' arrived to replace the other gate guardian we had, S Sugar, after it went to Hendon.

I took a tour inside of Just Jane when it was in a hanger prior to re-assembly as well as after it had been placed into position at the gate and asked then whether it would be possible for it to fly again, the Chief Tech, who was a Vulcan Crew Chief and also my gliding instructor said at the time it would require quite a bit of work, but could be made airworthy..........I still hope that day may come!!
