Last I heard Toby was the the staff was on 24 hours notice and the fiorm had no buyers.

That was weeks ago

The local freight contract that had been operated for Emerald were given to other firms about that time.

Don't know about the fleet but the airline has gone.

Or so it seems

Yes I posted the statement from the KPMG website that it had gone into administration and I remember reading on Pprune that the staff had received their P45s, was just curious as to what became of the assets.

Update:

A bit of digging around (mainly on pprune again) leads me to believe that a decision on the sale on the remnants is expected soon. It seems Emerald was in a worse mess than previously believed and that resurrection of the airline in its previous state is impossible.

Apparently there are currently two bidders, one Danish, one UK based (which may actually be a consortium of two UK airlines).

Cheer for the updates Toby.

I wonder whether the 'stranded' Aircraft will be disposed of on site or perhaps would it involve a ferry flight to the final resting places?

When I toured around Blackpool the other day there were a bunch of budgies in various liveries and an ATP in Emerald Colours, from a distance they didn't seem to be in too bad a condition, so perhaps they might be sold on. Pics are in the Gallery section.
