Classic British Flight Sim

FSX doesn't look like that straight out of the box. The problem with default FSX is that it doesn't look like anywhere in particular.. especially the UK. The texture colours are fine.. it's just they're not appropriate to good old Blighty The textures in FSW are from ORBX and in FSX, look appropriate. In FSW, they do not.. yet.

Nice to know it runs ok on a 760

Unless it becomes available on disc.. I'm outa the equation. I don't have 24hrs to spend downloading anything.

I have now accumulated a couple of hours on it and tried a few little things. I tried putting my Orbx scenery on it but I ended up with the airfields looking OK but the land had risen so lots of dry land where the sea is. I read somewhere someone had managed to add his Orbx scenery but I cannot find the post or remember which forum. I am going to persist with it but it does not replace my FSX yet. Lots of moaning minnies on other forums but my thoughts are it is worth a try and I could not design a sim so am not qualified to criticise. Any tips from people here[polite, constructive ones] will be welcome.

Most of our scenery seems to work OK except for night texturing and AI aircraft. I have to assume the same applies to other devs offerings. I'm sure DTG will continue to address the anomolies. Just been to Leconfield.

One thing is certain Mike.. there are rather more tree's around Leconfield in FSW than there are in the real one. It looks like it's been carved from the middle of a jungle!!

I hope they continue developing it. The release of P3Dv4 seems to have blown it out of the water some what. I have neither BTW. In fact.. I've gone back to FS9
