The problem wasn't the Lucas bits, they proved quite reliable, the earthing was horrendous though. You'd have though with the backbone chassis it would have been relatively easy to make work, even though the body was fibreglass. The worst electrical component in a car to date was a Magneti Marelli alternator on the 620ti, it was a disaster.
