Actually, I would be afraid of PMDG moving to X Plane. They have horribly skewed the price points for addons in the FS world, increasing the average cost of an addon by 50% in the last 4 years. They claim that the cost is justified, but I've seen other developers put out work of similar quality and complexity as PMDG's for 1/3 the cost, so I can't see where their justification is unless they're contracting out every little piece of development to external sources, which they claim to not be doing or they're paying themselves a nice salary instead of a percentage of profit as most everyone else does. Either way, their business model and pricing is a problem for FS that quite frankly, I'd be happy to be rid of. Not to mention that Robert and what's-his-name that's the head developer of X-Plane are two peas in a pod. They'd get along great with their holier-than-thou and my stuff don't stink attitudes.

Considering the rubbish that some pay-ware people put out and expect £20-30 for they can probably use them as a justification for their higher prices for their undoubted quality.

But I'd never spend $60-80 on an aircraft add-on.
