Just had a fly around with the updated flight dynamics, I think the first release is nearer the correct speeds.

Both RPM gauges work as does the slip indicator though the gau gives the appearance of being tilted slightly right giving the impression the slip gau is showing a left slip but the needle is on the central mark.

The gauges as far as I can tell are all built into the model as there are none in the panel.cfg that are visible in the VC so if it works for some people it should work for all, forget the air file and aircraft.cfg as far as I know there is nothing in there that would stop gauges working in this case.

Brian re twitching on taxi back up whichever aircraft.cfg you are using, locate contact points and replace point 0 with this one

point.0= 1, 14.610, 0.000, -4.590, 1181, 0, 0.864, 45.000, 0.100, 2.510, 0.800, 2.500, 3.000, 0

this one that came with the download has a rigid nose wheel leg with no damping

point.0= 1, 14.610, 0.000, -4.590, 1181, 0, 0.864, 45.000, 0.100, 2.510, 1.000, 2.500, 3.000, 0

the 1.000 after 2.510 is rigid, I changed it to 0.800 which allows some damping.

Keith, I have just replicated your gauge problem ie no RPM working and slip needle jammed hard left in VC, I found this by swapping Robs panel folder for another, VC still appears as it should since it is in the model but RPM gau no longer work and the slip gau is indeed jammed hard left.

If you have done any thing with Robs panel I would go back to Robs default.

Trawling back after a memory jolt this same issue came up with the NF Meteor and it came down to the complainant having messed with the Panel.cfg, a return to Robs cfg fixed the duff gauges, look in the Pond forums at the posts on the NF Meteor it's in there.

Another thought is you do not have accel so it is unlikely you will have the FSX accel F18 HUD did you try replacing it with something else.

Rich, thanks for the above, but no, I have not changed anything - its just as it came out of the box. Interesting that you can repeat it though. Maybe I need to place things ( files) differently in other folders for example......will investigate further later, need to get on with kitchen mods....SWMBO insists!

Keith it could also be that you do not have the accel F18 gauges which is a .dll file if Robs Interior model is looking for it, see if you can get your paws on FA-18.dll if you can drop it in your FSX gauges folder it may work unless it looks for a registered accel, I have deleted my F18 but I think the dll is still there.

Thanks Rich. :) I replaced the contact point but still see the twitch. I even lowered the value to 0.5 but still see the twitch. It must be my possessed version of FSX acting up again. :lol:

Rich, Re: the F18 gauge - thats the only thing that I can think is missing, so will have to wait until I can pick it up, anyway thanks for the other thoughts which have helped a bit!

Brian is this twitch visible in spot view ?? is it on all airfields or just on one ?? I get nothing like a twitch visible even running on the grass alongside a taxiway, all I see is the gear flexing doing it's thing.

I didn't think to check that. :$ (time passes) Ok, just went back to the Meteor. Yes, this occurs at all airfields and the twitch is visible from outside the aircraft. I noticed that the twitching seems to be generated by the mains...I could definitely see the mains bouncing up and down slightly. I applied your dampening suggestion to the contact points for the mains and viola twitching gone. :Dance: I appreciate all of your help Rich. :)

Thanks to Rich & DaveB I now have the .dll that makes the instruments read in SP2. Thanks Guys! I shall now try the alternative .cfg & .air files to see if performance improves.
A few weeks from now I hope to have the Acceleration update in my hot & stickies to see what that then does!
