OK Stegs

So what has been unreasonable comment here?

Are you saying we shouldn't stand for accuracy??

Markus has done a repaint that no one else has done.
And really you have come down on him like a ton of bricks
If you don't like his repaint don't bother using it.

Excuse me

I have not criticised his paint and not cme down on him like a ton of bricks

We stand for accuracy here and all this is stuff we do ourselves

All that was mention was factually correct and that is what this site is about.

Do you not appreciate our high standards.??

Garry
You misunderstand
I know you are pedantic over accuracy but some people on Flightsim
will just welcome a HS748 in the livery that they want.
I for one have been looking forward to a Bristol Freighter for many a year now
but It seems the author needs to be accurate :)

NO I don't misunderstand

This was pointing out things that could easily be sorted and perhaps things unknown to him as he said, he has never seen one .....well I have.

As to the Bristol Freighter I apologise for causing you inconvienience by getting a terminal cancer then having it removed in an operation that nearly killed me more than once and left me on life support for most of January and still too ill at the moment to sit at a PC which I need to do to finish it.

Perhaps I shouldn't bother

The point is this site sets a standard and unlike many other sites that demand things they themselves do not set to achive, we do. Perhaps you can't imagine what goes on behind the scenes....even currently with the Freighter which is still missing some elements.

It would have been finish a long time ago but for the op in Dec last year after increasing and debiitating ill health for the previous two years.

Slightly unfair but points taken Steve :)

The main reason you don't have the freighter yet is because the author had 2 options.. have an operation to remove a huge cancer and you may well die or don't have it removed and you'll die sooner rather than later.. 18months plus or minus. A rock and a hard place springs to mind! As a consequence of taking option 1.. things most of us take for granted like sitting upright in a chair are still not available to the author.. especially for an extended period. Stuck between limited access to the ROTW.. the author was forced to use a laptop which, while ok for most things, is not capable of compiling 'said' FS model. Now.. almost a year down the line.. he IS able to move a little better but a HD failure on his main pc have meant further delays. Thank your lucky stars he does what I don't and backed all the freighter files up. He is not at square one but had flightsim with a freighter newly installed and a Heron newly installed.. that is where he's at.

I appreciate your comment that some folk are glad to see anything in the colours they wish but you've been here long enough to know that if asked an opinion.. you'll get one. The Air Inuit paint is a good paint and that isn't denied anywhere here. Positive pointers to overall accuracy is what transpired and the author of the paint took this in good faith while explaining his own goal. No ton of bricks.. no fear of things drastic and untold.. just an explanation of the way it is/was ;)

EDIT..
I see Garry jumped in there with his reply before I could get this finished. I could erase it and pretend I never typed it but for the sake of accuracy, I'll let it stay ;)

Thanks Dave :)

I'm not after any sympathy but I will stay I have to have procedures now and then to eat.I have lost my esophogus and stomach......careless I know but I must check down the back of the couch.

I have an unstable heart and I have to sit in a reclining chair and have a hospital bed at home.

I have been told another two years to recover from the op which is about the time I will know for sure if the cancer is gone.

I have run away type 2 diabetese, not helped by my eating limits and at the moment a highr risk of a stroke.

This is ontop of my existing fybromyalgia

I have always tried to help people and continue to do so....hence to posting here

I was posting again in March and helping folk out, still in hospital connected to feeding tubes and drains coming out my chest, back and nose at that time.

So you are all going to have to bear with me.

No symapthy....just please understand why you have not had the models you expected by now,
