Congrats Rick and welcome to the murky world of commercial releases.
On another note I think all tech support for the Hawk should now be re-directed to the Skysim Forum and delt with there by the relevant people (you gotta have somewhere to chill out and think of other stuff so why not here :) )
You can respond to comments and suggestions in one place and enjoy a bit of a break (that is until I start asking questions again :roll: )
Well done and great work.

All installed and flying now. Awesome. :flying:
I really like the "feel" of the flight model.
The nose-up moment caught me out a few times when lowering the flaps, have not crashed it yet though.
I prefer flying from the rear seat, not quite sure why.

I had some activation issues.
I was emailed the activation code, which I copied n'pasted into the required box. A window popup told me that activation was a success.
When I went loaded the Hawk, the timer was active, even after retarting FSX and reloading the A/C.

I tried to run the activation again and got this error:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Unable to open registry key "HKCU\Software\Policies\MSscp.SCPTRANS\AN04-X-D1FA397D699C\usereg" for reading.

When I looked in the registry I discovered that the spaces between the activation code numbers had been pasted into the boxes:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\MSscp.SCPTRANS\AN04-X-D1FA397D699C]
"hostHDD"="C:\\"
"ssac"="731965 29441063 712200 "

...should look like

"ssac"="73196529441063712200"

However after removing the spaces - no joy.
So I uninstalled Hawk and removed these registry folders:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\MSscp.SCPTRANS\AN04-X-D1FA397D699C]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Skysim\Hawk]

After a re-install, and not putting spaces in with the numerics, it all worked first time.

(Do not tamper with the registry unless you are competant to do so).

Here are three screenies from last night.

Hello Matey :)

Concur with your last ;-) It's gonna get mighty confusing for folk looking for support in two places and Skysim is the best place now it's 'out'. ;-)

The Hawk is now working, so thanks for the replacement gauge, Jim (and Brian, in fact), so I can now enjoy this wonderful model to the fullest. Thanks Rick. :)

Hi Arni

that AI hawk looks good.

where can i get it ?.

Glad you got the flyabe Hawk working and i too only like flying from the rear seat as it has a nice feel too it and in my opinion a much better view without the canopy frame in your face as it would be.

but if i didn't do both that would be a major pain as someone will want the front one too.

I find the front seat is great in FSX if you have Track IR :thumbsup:

Sorry DB i did not want CBFSIM to become a support forum :$
that was an accident

Regards
Rick
