Re: This model in FS9 and the differances.
In FS9 i can bomb about the ground with all the needles in the red to no ill effects at all.
In FSX with full accu-sim I can bomb about the ground, get warned by the crew about raising temps, get warned by co-pilot about temps and then finally get warned by someone again who calls out an engine fire as one by one the engines light up shortly before the passengers start screaming as you stall into the ground, all done blindly as I couldnt be bothered to turn the dimisters on so the windows are all misted which happens in the VC in real time.
Re: Dave
As one publican type chappy to another, get FSX and do some proper sim flying, FS9 will soon be the arcade game of the past ;-) Just like the old 11am wiskey drinkers.

A neat feature!
Might confuse a few people, though.

Really hope this doesn't put you off...?
Minor disappointment, but it may give me more ammunition with Gary Austin for us to build that B377/C-97/KC-97 sim out of the nose section he's got.

One word.. PANTS ;-)
Re 11am whiskey drinkers (you sure you work in a pub as whiskey is either with an e or without depending on it's country of origin and both have an h) can't say in the 20years I've been doing this, I've ever had any 11am whiskey drinkers. Anyone needing a scotch at that time of the morning usually doesn't live very long

As for FSX.. the acronym and sim are as compatible as fun and run ;-)

Run a pub in the sticks of suffolk and make sure you got a jug of water on the table ready Dave, as the old boys we have coming in at 11am or slighty before for there early morning drink before the day starts.

Hi!
Another silly question:
Who is doing the FDE? Is it realistic and has it been tested by real life Stratocruiser pilots?
Soft landings!

The FDE was done in house by a renowned FDE 'expert' who has worked on many top FSX aircraft. Regarding testing by actual pilots, one of the 377 beta-testers is a former KC-97 pilot with more than 3,000 hours on type and his comment was that it was "stunningly accurate". He put many hours into testing the 377 and all his recommendations/suggestions were implemented. As far as reality is concerned the 377 flies 'by the numbers', if you get a chart of performance figures the A2A 377 will match it in every way, at every altitude and at all load-outs.
