After watching my Washington Redskins loose to the Green Bay Packers, I can't tell you how delighted I was to be able to see a delayed reply of England vs France. Very thereputic watching England win.

Well done to England getting to the final.

I would urge a small bit of caution. Continuing to rely so heavily on Wilkinson may well one day bite England in the a*se. Of the 134 points scored by England in this tourney, 61 have been by Wlikinson (none of which have been trys).

Match averages show England in 9th place in points scored and 11th in trys scored. On the other hand Sth Africa 3rd and 4th in the respective categories.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist or even Clive Woodward, to figure out that closing him down, will in effect close down the team. I am surprised that some less than "fair playing" team hasn't 'crocked' him in the first 15 minutes before now.

Should England be unfortunate enough to catch Sth Africa on their game, then I fear not even JW will be enough.

If we scored 6,000 trys and got to the final and lost then it wouldn't make a difference. Its all about how you use your best assets. All sports are exactly the same, the English football team using Beckham in the past to swing those pin point crosses to his Shearers head, Gascoigne providing just pure magic in the middle (Or up front against the sweaty socks ) or the English Rugby team giving Jonny Wilkinson the ball at the right time to cripple the opposition with his pin point kicking.

*Sigh* Again, bothered? How exciting is a try? Very. How exciting is a kick in the last minute or the final 5 minutes to seal a match? Very. What difference does it make? It's not like we're breaking the rules by kicking all the time. If Manchester United came second in the league after scoring 600 goals and Arsenal came top after scoring 38 penalties in 1-0 victories i'm sure the Arsenal fans will be proper pissed off. :roll:

Again, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that you have to protect your biggest asset. Those big fellas in front of him don't just run round willy nilly for a laugh.
