Can anyone confirm that the FS9 props issue with clouds is also resolved?

Yes! :excited:

Just tried Ricks Chippie. Self shadowing also works with it, both external & VC.

Someone mentioned scenery being the same - coasts were mentioned in particular - well in their Q&A article at AVSIM, the LM guy said that no changes were being made to the FSX scenery - it would be up to users to install whichever add-on scenery they required for the area they were 'operating' in. That's strange, because I was under the impression they had contracted the FTX guys for scenery. Oh well.

Also - regarding Real Scenery - I haven't tried it in v2, but it worked in 1.4, pretty much how Dave said - only I just pointed the scenery library to where I have the files installed. Same with a number of other add-on sceneries.

Ultimate Traffic 2 also worked flawlessly in v1.4, but I've since heard that Flight 1 don't want it being used in P3D - so on your own head be it. :wasntme:

Seems it is not writing to the Scenery.cfg file when installing real scenery.

Pointed it at my FSX shared scenery folder, which includes the UK2000 stuff, GenX, my own scenery tiles for Belfast etc and no problems to report at all. I haven't added REX yet though, not sure if i should. Has anyone added REX not sure if its a good idea or not as it will replace the default P3D textures.
Great news on the props. It really does sound as though there are no down sides... So far.

I'm back in the P3D club after a few months away and am very impressed with v2 so far. It's far, far more than merely FSXI or ESPII; this is most definitely the next generation sim platform. Both performance and visuals are a huge leap forward from anything yet seen and leave FSX for dead.

Brilliant news that FS9 portovers work as well, that should take care of most of the CBFS library!

These are some un edited screen grabs showing my Belfast scenery tiles I did with the help of George (a lot of help from George) as seen from DG's Hunter, with an AI Vanguard joining in...

I just downloaded the latest FSUIPC and it came up with two issues:

1 - it said that the registry entry was pointing to the wrong place. I let it correct that - but I'll have to go and look myself, just in case it changed it to where I used to have 1.4

2 - it said FSUIPC was unlikely to work as it couldn't access the XML.dll file. It says P3D must be run once before installing FSUIPC - but I have run it, so at a loss about that one :dunno:

Good news about the Chippie

Nice shots! Got Real Scenery working, had to enable it via the scenery library. Did not have to do that for 1.4 though. :dunno:
