Couple of formation shots, taken in Prepar3d, using AirTrafficFx for the formation.

That's an AirTrafficFx problem. Does the same in FSX.

Me too...what a wonderful sight

Out of the loop a tad but intrigued by your use of the AirTrafficFx utility...as an aside is it possible to have other types in formation with you if you so desired Dave?

Such as the Auster alongside the Rapide for instance. I can imagine that if it is possible to use different types then they would have to be of similar performances, also, one other thing, do they take off and land after you as well in line astern? :dunno:

You can have up to 6 additional aircraft in the formation, as well as your own aircraft.
They can be any ones from your collection. Airtrafficfx takes direct control of them, and bypasses their FD to keep them in formation. It's possible to have an Auster in formation with Concorde at mach 2, but not very realistic
They will take off and land with you, but it's all in formation.

It can also be used to add parked aircraft at airfield parking spots & create aircraft doing circuits etc.
It's a fun little tool, but without issues.

Indeed...whatever happened there I don't know but at least I managed 'Line Astern' which the AirTrafficFX software apparently doesn't do!

It does look a good utility though and to also add some static aircraft of your own choice to airfields would be great too. I can already see a few Rapides on the turf at St Just awaiting their turn to take the next party of trippers to the Scilly Isles
