Apart from the last Vanguard paint ALL my paints were done with a simple programme called ARC Photostudio which does not have multiply

Paint Shop Pro however does have multiply and it's a aprogramme a lot more sophisticated than the one I used.

On the layer palette where it says "normal" scroll down it's one of the options

Fading or lighhtening is best done with transparent whites over the top of the paint layer.

In over 600 paints I never found I needed to run a semi transparent paint layer over the details. In Photostudio I had to redraw the detail on a new layer

In fact, I use this "mixing mode" (literally translation for "Mischmodus") now and then, although I didn't quite get yet what's "multiplied" with it...

I have to admit that the rule "details over paint" can easily be obeyed with first-class paint kits such as the 748's - but unfortunately there are not many repaint kits offering this outstanding support...

Unfortunately I did 56 paints for the 748 in Photstudio so I couldn't use the layered kit

I had to trace each layer into new one the make other bits because Photostudio which I was using can't read PSD's

By mulitpy it means it multiplies any value painted over the layer below so the same reliative differential is maintained.

Another function a lot of folks miss that's in PSP and Photoshop is the 'lock transparency'.

If you fill a curve it is jagged on the new fill but is you lock the transparency the the curve or letter..whatever you fill wil maintain is correct soft edge.....saves hours

Another confession:
I didn't make use of this function up to now.
Instead I used anti-aliasing (both on pixel and vector layers) to prevent from jagged edges - in the future I'll play with this one.

Lesson learned.

Thought I would resurrect this thread to show off my Airhauler operation; I went from Kirkland Aero Services to Victor Air Cargo, because a V is symmetrical and easier to incorporate into a logo on the tail..
