Re: Stratocruiser on the way
An FS9 version would mean a complete rebuild and would not have those features.
This is using advanced model making that only FS.X can support.
Personally I wouldn't want guys like this wasting time going backwards but moving forward to greater things

Dag nab it!! I forgot this was FSX only :-( Ah well.. that 'guaranteed sale' may not be so certain after all

Silly question... as a user what day 2 day advantages will I expect over an FS9 model?
Thanks in advance

Re: Stratocruiser on the way
Advantages of proper FS.X models are many
But you are certainly looking at more realistic system modelling and better external lighting with bump mapping and self shadowing all for better framerates
A good native FS.X model does not compare to FS.9 in any real way.
Put it like this.....if I could run FS.X I probably would not be making amything for FS.9 as a lot of the problems I am getting I would not have if I was making it for FS.X and I would have a better model as well

I do hope this will support shared cockpit fully. Nothing better than having 3 friends online together working to keep a beast such as this in the air for a flight.

Quite Tony!! However.. I'm not 'buying' models for FSX at this point matey.. that is FSX only models. I enjoy farting around chasing the AI ships Ben has setup but as a sim to 'fly' in.. nah. Serious flying.. FS9, playing games.. FSX (as long as there are ships involved)

Re: Stratocruiser on the way
Chris we flogged so hard on the shared cockpit of the B377 but because the systems are so complex it become impossible to implement mate.....!
Really hope this doesn't put you off...?
Dave the eyepoints can be adjusted the same way in FSX......but i see your point and know that one day you WILL come over....its gonna happen.....000
FS9 is like a well trained dog and starting over with a puppy and training him all over again is a long progress......but my new puppy is getting better than my old doggy..... ;-)
One day David......

VC's are the way forward! All those lovely smooth gauges and 3D objects...

That has to be the best FS9/FSX analogy I've heard yet.Techy111 wrote:FS9 is like a well trained dog and starting over with a puppy and training him all over again is a long progress......but my new puppy is getting better than my old doggy..... ;-)
