Coming together nicely!
I've just started on Gmax so I can understand the challenges to overcome. It's rewarding when you do it, but at the same time, can be extremely frustrating and annoying! I've been modelling a TS-11 Iskra, but have found parts of the aircraft which are currently beyond my skills, so I think I'll move onto a more basic aircraft for a while...

Becoming very ship-shape!!!Roll on the roll out!!!!
Who would have guessed that some 56 years after the first flight of a real production aircraft, 14th November 1951, a number of people are eagerly awaiting the chance to try out their FS skills at virtual airfields and carriers all over the globe? One of the most beautiful aircraft to have been built and enter service.

It is funny, I agree - it shows the powerful effect classic aircraft like these have had on our imaginations. I agree too that she is a beauty - but then I have a soft spot for straight wingers. That said, the Sea Hawk has a very organic shape in all areas - the smooth wing fillet, the upsweep of the fin from the fuselage...makes it harder to model convincingly, but I still love that look. Mostly I'm happy with the general model I've made, apart from the engine outlets, which have been a bugg** from start to finish. Don't think I can get them any better for now. The big thing that remains to be seen is how that belly-recessed undercarriage comes out...

Sadly no. What with the Canberra release I have been somewhat neglecting the old girl :-(
Hopefully I can get back to her soon- perhaps next week.
