Well I've had a bit more of a play now and... The Galaxy Ripple effect (spot previous mistake calling it Cadbury) is only present with Gen-X scenery (possibly other photo scenery as well but I don't have any other) albeit that the stutters have gone in Gen-X. Frame rates in other areas are down a bit, e.g. San Fransisco. The F18 is okay but a bit twitchy on the controls. The Merlin is horrible in my view, quite apart from the constant background noise of the engines spooling up and down (you can also see this on the panel if you look at the torque and temp numbers) it is impossible to read the panel unless zoomed in and it's a bu88er to keep straight and level. The carrier is in effect a building with a hard deck - not worth spending any time on at all - a thing of horror certainly not beauty.
Acceleration - I think a good idea but crappily implemented, too little testing (once again) and sub-standard (for payware) aircraft - I'm glad I didn't pay the full price.
Regards,
Chris

IMHO.........what a waste of bloody money, my FPS went down, the Merlin textures are crap....my whole FSX is all jittery now.....think
I'll just uninstall the whole damn thing and carry on with my trusty FS9 which is like gold compared to FSX.

Guys... I really hope you creating a new fsx.cfg BEFORE you go writing it off. Remember, the new fs9.cfg was a must when upgrade where applied to it and FSX is no different in that respect. Also be aware that after generating the new cfg you will probably need to add any mods that you had to the cfg back in.
everyone I have spoken to, even with a modest spec PC has seen an improvement.
