Hi Tony that's not anunpainted as such/I mean an untexture just the base mode.

Are you painting over those base textures?

It can lead to problems if you are pinting over and making the paint a reduced opacity to let the detail come through

You should really have solid paints and have the detail in black and reduce the opacity of that detail layer to whatever value has the detail showing correctly...... usually about 8-15 percent.

I just tried that mate and still see a colour difference from the Fwd and to the Aft section and i cannot seem to correct it...? Its the same for the DC6 and 7....?

Yes Garry i have just done the untextured DC6 and this is what i am getting....?

Same difference here.....Slightly darker and shinier white from jeft to right..... :dunno:

Very confused.....Is it a modelling error that i cannot fix?

Looks like it's in the model.

You can't correct that sort of thing but sometimes you can hide it a bit.
