Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
Hi Jason,
thanks for your reply. Sorry to hear about your conflict with Alphasim. I have now got a copy of the Sea Venom and have managed a few amateurish repaints of my own so all is not lost. Looking forward now to the release of the Sea Hawk and Super Freighter.
Regards Pedro

Hi, Jason.
I noticed that AS has re-released the Venom recently.
I was wondering if you might give any thought to resuming or releasing the repaint you were working on awhile back?
Just wondering.
Thanks

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
As I recall, a paint kit for Alphasim's Sea Venom was never released? :-( Is this still the case, or was something released without me realising?

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
Looking through my list of Alpha PK's.. I see I have one for the Vampire but not for the Venom so I guess one was never released otherwise I'd have it

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
I don't think having a PK would have made any difference to Jason mate as he'd obviously made his own. I've no idea what his dispute with AS was and it's not important but he's obviously stuck to his gun's and not released any of the paints he was working on. Shame as they looked rather nice.

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
SInce my runnings in with Alphasim over 1 year ago, theres been a huge change in my life and working on FS repaints is bottom of my list due to many reasons, the Omani 1-11 which im slowly working on is the 1st paint ive done for ages now, the DSB/IRIS Hawks was the last many months ago, just time isnt on my side TBH for FS repaints, i very much doubt ill ever do any Alphasim paints if i get back in the full swing of painting again, now time its very limited and the 1-11 as you can see is taking me ages to get it right from my point of view to release it.
So sorry to say this Sea Venom will be for my flightsim world only now...and also, i did my own paint kit this AS aircraft, as i always do, i dont think ive ever done work from a painkit from other sources, i tend to find them basic and not good enough for my liking.

Sorry to read that you are unable to resume repainting the Alpha Sea Venom.

Jason,
Would you be willing to release your paint-kit as-is for the community at large? ;-) It would be a wonderful gesture and I'm sure well recieved. :kissu: I for one would be extremely grateful. CHEERS
Just a thought
Andy

Re: Alphasim Sea Venom
Indeed. There are way too few decent liveries for the Sea Venom.
As an aside, has anyone found a way of getting rid of the nasty VC glass crazing that's all too apparent in the FSX version? I can hardly see out of the cockpit for white wear lines on every pane.
