OK, All agreed it was a Halifax, with most recognising that the squarer tail fins and other details defined it as a series 1a. The Series 1a B MkII and Mk V
were externally the same, so I happily accepted either, though "II" was almost exclusively mentioned.
There were varying degrees of extras submitted, and the awards reflect that.
Simon (simondix) went as far as giving the Squadron code, pilot name, and a very near miss on the airframe , which was HR 928, not HR 926, Simon.
He also reported that Squadron Leader Cranswick died whilst flying a Lancaster in 1944. Simon gets the Knows Art this week: PeteP, Simon (simondix), Ben (TSR2), Mick (woody901), AllanL get Diamond badges

Eric (Tomliner) and Joe (blanston12) scored Gold

Whilst Pete (Motormouse) was let down by his mobile screen, and had a second go after seeing the bigger picture, so that's Silver.
