The general shape immediately recognised, the Mark suggestions were more varied.
Eric (Tomliner) was first in, and later came AllanL in the Silver category.
MikeW (emfrat) and Ben (TSR2) scored Gold for tagging it as a FAW.
Simon (simondix) and Pete (Motormouse) won Diamond badges for FAW Mk9

The particular image was a Mk7, which was so similar to the Mk9, that they were almost impossible to separate from the given angle.
As Pete said, it was a 64 Squadron airframe, and a check of RAF serials confirms that it was later upgraded from 7 to 9.

Well done again, you lot
The actual image was Mosquito NF Mk30, RK953, of 151 Squadron.
During development, earlier Marks were upgraded, given new numbers, then the production versions had yet another Mark given.
The big change in appearance was, of course, the replacement of "Herringbone" antennas with the enclosed version, which required the "Bullnose."
Everybody recognised this, and tendered appropriate Mks for the overall look. The Mk30 was the final wartime variant, with more powerful engines and paddle prop blades to cope with its high-altitude intentions. Those paddle blades, opposed to the pointier version, identify this one as a Mk30. I will not deny that perhaps other Marks were fitted with paddle blades, but from my study, it's a good feature to hang one's hat on. I also discovered the the change from Roman to Arabic Mark numbering took place at the end of 1942, but the existing aircraft retained their old Roman identities.
(Pete (Motormouse) and Mick (woody901) both hit me with Mk30 in their replies, scoring Diamond badges.
Eric (Tomliner) offered Mk30 on his follow-up, having omitted it in his first. It's a cruel world, Eric, but you get Gold.

Nobody agreed with the RAF on this one
Quite understandable, as the illustrated Spitfire F Mk22 (RK515) differed from the F Mk24 only by the visible length of the cannons.
The judge has only consumed one cup of coffee so far, so the decision may be marred by this.

Encouragement patches to Eric (Tomliner), MikeW (emfrat), and Ben (TSR2) for their suggestions.

The larger fin was introduced to cope with the huge power increase, but apparently the later models were difficult to get off the ground aligned with the runway.
The cut down rear fuselage and bubble canopy defined the final Marks of the Spitfire from the wartime examples, and the number sequence was interferred with, to match those of the Seafires going to the Navy.

A quiet week to say the least.
2 precise answers and 2 generic.

This week sees the inaugural "Knows Art" award, which goes to the first exact correct answer, instead of just having the name in bold type.
Interesting, btw, the vast difference between "augural" and "inaugural" (and it's not that they're opposite to each other in meaning.)

Down to business:
Pete (Motormouse) gets the Knows Art, Leonel shares the Diamond badge with him, for naming the Hawker Hunter F4.
Mick (woody901) and Eric (Tomliner) both receive the Gold badge for Hunter without the F4.
The angle doesn't help, but eagle eyes picked up the lack of a sawtooth or dogtooth on the leading edge of the outer wing, which was a later enhancement.
