Hi Michael
Alpha's stuff has got better & better over the last 2 to 3 years.
I completely understand why AlphaSim made the US based Variant as they buy more models than we do.
It looks like the AlphaSim guys are already making Full FSX models which i cannot yet make as i don't have the tools & can't afford 3DsMax.
the Whirlwind looks very good to me in Garry's shots & the only part missing for a UK type that stands out is the rotor blast fence just below the cockpit and the bracing bars inside the windscreens.
the only thing i dislike is the flat rotor disc which can be fixed in minutes
to look like a 6000 lb lump is hanging from it in flight.
(Look at the Excellent Simshed Wessex Rotordisc to see what i mean)
Other than that it looks Top Banana to me.
Remember guys we are very fussy purists in General so comments are sometimes a little sharp.
I get comments from my beta team just like this (and many times more rude) which is why i have a team of fussy gits in the first place as it means little gets missed.
I picked a good number of my team for their ability to not accept 98% and to fight for the last 2% at all cost. (i did pick a few too many of these characters to be honest as they do sometimes push me to the edge)
But it does make it easier for me in the long run.(so they tell me)
If there is something wrong they don't worry about saying which is my point.
the only reason i don't buy many AlphaSim models is they are getting too pricey but so are everyones payware so i blame nobody for that.
So Chin up Michael as we still love you mate
Regards
Rick

Theres a slight variation due to weight and blade composite though l do prefer the MH-53 ones, they seem to look the part....to me anyway.
Like l said before, if its something l did then l can correct to suit....in some cases....individual tastes, if not.....well y'all smart enough to work that out

Fully appreciate your team and there efforts and most importantly there criteria, sadly its not a universally level field we play in LOL, you can do anything you like when your in control of the complete model path, when your not your down to the individuals and what they feel and on a multi person project you have to be able to co exist with there views even if there at logger heads with your own.
At the moment my schedule is packed with the MH-53 and CH-46 ( you saw it here first

The day CBFS accept a Alphasim model l'll fall off my seat LOL and l mean that in a nice way !!, l dont think it'll ever happen and l dont think anyone should beat themselves up trying, you guys know what you want and if you dont get it, well, you just go out and build it yourself

FSx, well its a select few, as l've said to DB privately it does nothing for me, l upgraded my PC and it flies fine with settings l like, but then my FS9 is now so good l'm loathe to change, FSx just changed something, something l cant nail and something l'm not overly happy with, it all looks so.....plastic in my view, maybe when developers get to grips with it all it'll begin to look better but the first thing l hate is all those Australian sheep fences around every airport !.
Right time to get back to Max....and maybe time willing some work of my own....and yes its British....see l'm as stupid as they come, despite all the previous comments, some of us just keep coming back for more LOL.
Kindest
Michael
