Because John Terrel are working on the K model as i showed you in the link i provided. The SEA scheme on the A-26 are the most difficult i've ever done even as i did it as a joint effort with Russel Smith, and i have painted at least 400 aircraft hitherto, also the A-26 looks very nice in this scheme...

Thanks both

I realise the SOS colours are difficult - As I said, my ex father in law has many photos of the Nimrods at NKP as well as the other "funnies" that lived there - There didnt seem to be a "standard" camoflage for the 26Ks they
were all a little different - prehaps the two oddests aircraft he had photos of were a Beech Bonanaza drone which had some crazy reduction gear and a huge prop on it and the little Schwietzer motor glider neither of which I have ever seen mentioned in context with the Air Commando at Nakhom Phenom

Trev - the French one is really beautiful

Imperator - If you wish PM me - I may be able to supply some closeups
of the 26K that arn't available through the usual channels :) . BTW as a piece of trivia - the original paint applied to the Nimords at Hurlburt AFB prior to deployment was lost on the very long ferry leg from Hurlburt to NKP (That in itself is a story even before they got to combat) so many of the 26s were repainted in the field and that explains the lack of continuity.
Also as an aside many of the types based at NKP had the suffix 'K; added to them - C119K, C123K etc etc , making NKP the largest consumer of Special K in the theatre (Not my Joke I promise) and one last thing - You have the paint correct - NONE of the TA aircraft carried national markings in theatre (This mainly due to the fact they didnt operate in Vietnamese Airspace -as I stated earlier John Shippey was the boss of the 609th - and of the 157 missions he flew only one was inside Vietnamese airspace and that during the Tet offensive) - If any of the folks at SOH feel like flying Nimrod missions you will also need one C119K flare ship, a pair of either
T28s or A1Es that flew pathfinder and an EC121K out of Korat. The Nimrods flew in 4 ship elements , but normally attacked in pairs, When you get around to modeling the crew - they DIDNT wear bone domes -
baseball caps and sunglasses were worn- even at night - When I asked about the sunglasses Johns answer was "Have you ever seen 16 .50cals fire at the same time?"
