If the govenment act on that idiot ROD EDINGTON`s report, who has failed in every firm he as been a part of,and came close to doing the same with BA.
Then yes we are all screwed,as i stated before,if it takes a national strike to get them to sit up and take notice,THEN COUNT ME IN.
I intend to reply to this gov email, and i dont think they will like the reply,as i will be giving them some blunt facts about how it will affect those like me,who have no alternative means of getting to work.
This is making my blood boil, the sooner this lot go,the better for all of us.
Its about time we all got on to our unions,to get thier backing, and managment of our firms, should also back the workers on this,as they will go bust,if these increase go ahead,so it is in thier interest to,to fight this unjust attack on motorists.
regards alan.

A real let down as it is supposed to be a Labour government that would speak up for the workers.

Not this lot

Just reading the latest issue of Practical Classics and I noticed an item (page 11) about the nutters that run Edinburgh's roads.

The new idea is that they plan to ban any car over 10 years old from Edinburgh, unless they were built to strict environmental standards. Apparently Stuttgart is running a similar scheme. It is reckoned that one in four cars would be taken off Edinburgh's roads if this measure were taken.

As my dear old mum used to say, 'one door slams behind you and another one slams in your face'. No, I don't know what she meant either..

Anyway, this plan is absoloutely perfect, if it is implemented - God forbid - and everyone gets upset, all the Council has to do is BLAME THE GERMANS. Classic.

We have elections up here in May for both the Scottish Parliament and local councils, bet this is one idea that isn't on anyones manifesto.
