As promised, revised aircraft.cfg and .air files below:

[Edit: Files superseded - see AOP9_mod.zip below]

I hope you feel they are an improvement. Please let me have any comments here or by email.

Ding Dong!!

Quite delightful Brian  I'm still seeing a fair amount of dihedral effect in the turns mind. Is this appropriate for something of this size??

Hi Dave,

I said it was WIP  I think high wing aircraft can have a bit more of the dreaded dihedral effect - lets see what Martin has to say

No mention of WIP there Brian (pulling your leg)

Agree that Martin's input necessary on the dihedral though I'd be happy with it as is.. such is the improvement over the original

Ohh Ohh looks like its going to be a late night tonight :)

I will try my best and report back but I know I wont be disappointed. Thanks Brian for taking the time to 'alter' the files - much appreciated.

Speak soon (yawn yawn - just getting into practice for tomorrow)

Brian (and Martin)

Now its a goer - I dont have Daves dihederal problem ( )
but it wants to climb a little quicker than you advertised Martin
@2000rpm - 75 IAS = almost 1000fpm - seems a little too quick
Now if we could just ask Ito-san to deflate his control surfaces :-#
It really is a delightful little aeroplane - just spent a quick 40 minutes
in the pattern at Old Sarum in the waning light - Now if I could just find that
pub under the turn to base leg

Thanks Brian - and Martin thanks for instigating

Hi Leif,

TVM for the comments. I did not start again from scratch but modified Mr Ito's files so I think we will always have a compromise  I also built the FDE to the PNs which may give a bit better performance than Martin is getting now. I will hang on for any comments Martin may have and then do a bit more tweaking.

I am using a cobbled up panel at the moment with a "low speed" ASI I adapted from a default one and a mixed lot of other gauges for testing and so I don't know if there are any errors in there. If someone does update the panel, I can adjust to the new standard and also set up the engine temps and pressures properly.

Regards,

There's something wrong with your stick then Leif!!

Rgr that Brian. I'm waiting for Martin to throw some shots together and may have a go at a panel for it.. depending on what I get. We have a suitable selection of gauges from our other Brits in the fleet to give it a more authentic look so I don't envisage anything fancy  We'll see
