Keith,
Thanks for sorting me out on WMM version, the new installation works like a dream! ;)
I think I'll uninstall Bandicut and Windows Live MM.

Hi Keith and Mike.

I know that you are now sorted but yesterday I gave Virtual Dub a go after recording a very small video.

This was made without Virtual Dub.

This one with Virtual Dub.

This software is extremely useful to hide any replay messages that you may get on the bottom of the screen etc, there is a lot more that you can do with it but so far I have decided just to stick with what I know. I just use Bandi Cam to record the screen replay then edit the vid using Virtual Dub after which it is all completed using Microsoft Movie Maker. I know, a lot of messing about but I think the end result is OK.

Sorry, don't have a You Tube Account so done through Photobucket.

Regards
Nigel

Hi Nigel,
I see what you mean!
OK, yesterday I gave Live and Bandicut the chop. I'll look at Virtual Dub tonight. ;)

Nigel, if the landing and frame rate aren't smooth, then I don't know what is!

Also, cropping used to be something that I'd do to get rid of FS Recorder's playback messages. It's good start, but since I use Sony Vegas, and I'd like to sometimes fiddle around with the pan/crop feature, I instead hide the playback messages by disabling them in FS Rec's options.

Hi Mike, I use Bandicam to record from FS Recorder then before final editing with Microsoft Movie Maker I use Virtual Dub to remove any messages on the screen mainly the replay times from FS Recorder (bottom right of the screen).

There may be some objection from the developers due to the fact that I have also cropped out the Bandicam logo especially as I am using it as freeware even though it has a time limited recording of ten minutes. :worried:

Mike, just be sure that after making the crops you save it as an AVI File, I have given the links for instructions on a previous post here.

Keith, pleased you like it, although I only come here 2 - 3 days a week if you have any problems let me know or easier still You Tube have a number of video on Virtual Dub.
I instead hide the playback messages by disabling them in FS Rec's options.
fs10intator, sorry cannot remember you real name :worried:  Thanks for that, I must have missed seeing the option in the set up of FS Recorder.

I think the smoothness is only down to the fact that I had only 8% ai traffic selected and have FTX England installed and landed at the default FTX airport at Exeter, only have three payware airports, Shoreham - Elstree and Southampton, find that Southampton can be a bit of a fps killer even when it was a default airport and can give a few jitters on recordings so elected to do the vid at Exeter instead. 8)

Regards
Nigel.

Kind regards
Nigel.

My joy was short-lived!
Next time I tried to run MM, I was told that it was moved or blah blah.
Searched the computer for it, and it no longer existed, though the videos I'd created were there, they simply wouldn't play any more.
So I downloaded it again..."Success! You have the latest Essentials...." :excited: :cpu:
Try to run MM...Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?isWin8OrGreater&OS@Base@@YG_NXZ
could not be located in the dynamic link library WLXPhotoBase.dll [OK]

Looked up that and followed non working suggestions about the fix. :wall:
It seems to me that MM is looking for Windows 8 or later.
I've reserved my 29th July copy of Win10, but if and when I successfully download the multi gig OS, will MM start working again?
I'm even looking at payware editors. Wondershare ($49.00) is easy to use, but the write up mentions cheap - looking effects and text.
I also d/l Virtualdub, but haven't tried it yet.
EDIT: I have now, and it needs some other codecs, won't open AVI files. :wall: :wall:

Mike a quick look via Google shows that M$ do still have a downloadable version of MM for W7, just ask for movie maker for W7; which I presume you are running.

Thanks Keith,
Unfortunately, I request W7 version, but finish up with Essentials 2012 regardless.
I'll attach some screen saves to prove my point.

I took more as I progressed, but they disappeared.
