Couldn't resist! She's lovely.

A bit tricky trying to start the engines as the buttons are hidden though, CTRL + E is my friend
Under "Views" there's a DLL Gauge, and a DLL Gauges view? Are these left over from testing?

The dll gauges run the radar, weapons and emulate the boundary layer control. I can't remember why I put them as pop-up gauges you can't access but I know there was a reason!

Shockingly, despite checking about three times, because I'd noticed it earlier, there's a slight issue with the installer. For some reason there's a texture missing from the S2D paint which makes the armament panel look odd, the solution is to copy the Cockpit01.dds from texture.Granby to texture.809R.
I'll attempt to update the download tonight.

Cheers Skip, I'll have a look at that
is there any way to alter the view so that you can see / operate the starters?

Hi Ben
I know you run a fairly decent system so this question is probably irrelevant for me

Anyway.. do you know if it's any more frame hungry than the S1?

My system is far from decent but I did a quick low level flight yesterday and didn't notice any significant frame rate difference from the S1, it was nice and fluid even at 50'. It does seem easier to trim for hands-off at low level than the S1, you can release the controls without scraping the bomb bay tank

Thanks for that Tony

The S1 is just about at the limit of 'comfortable' on my rig. Texture redraws when outside are painfully slow sometimes though it's 'ok' when indoors. The UKMIL S2 is a belter but I can't run it unless I fly from somewhere like Wake Island with all the settings down low (I kid yea not!) so I don't bother. Glad I'll at least have a fighting chance with this one

OK.. I cracked last night and bought it
Not given the included manual a low flypast yet which explains why I only got the basics to work.. gear and flaps so had I managed to find Ark Royal, I'd have had trouble landing without a hook
The S2 runs similar to the S1 on my rig. I saw the big silver cylinder a couple of times (sight) but not almost every time as I remember with the S1. Also.. on the Ark Royal banana I flew yesterday.. the texture draw was faster externally.. much faster. No areas of untextured model waiting for a coat of paint to arrive
Nice to have a lot more poke when you open the taps too
Next.. I really must find out what's happened to Ark Royal. Despite having search radar (though in all honesty.. I may not have switched it on correctly or missed a vital switch) I never got to see her off Anglesey and this is my 3rd failure in a row. The previous attempts were in the Sea Vixen and Nimrod

Ok.. Ark Royal found.. carrier keystrokes re-learned and my first trap was a success in as much as I landed on deck

First cat was like the S1 though.. wet feet

I'll get around to reading the manual at some point
