Yes. All my ORBX scenery is connected to, and extends, the PNW region (Northern Rocky Mountains and Pacific Fjords with Norther California and Southern Alaska to come). I'd certainly like the Australian scenery but I simply haven't the time to fly all the places I'd like and I probably won't even buy the forthcoming England scenery! I'm not familiar with any of the FTX airports in real life which is why I was interested in your opinion of one that you know so well. They all have an authentic 'feel' but unless you know the place you can't really know.Airspeed wrote:What ORBX are you running? PNW I guess?
Thank you for your interesting report on Moorabbin, it sounds like they've done a very good job and that you'll spend a lot of happy hours there. Perhaps when (if) I ever retire I'll get Australia as well. I used to be a very frequent visitor to Oz during my 30 years with BA so I'm familiar with many areas. I also had/have friends and family in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney and my first wife was from WA so I'm almost accepted there. But not quite
In Melbourne, back in the 70s, we stayed in a suite motel out near the zoo but gradually moved upmarket to the Old Melbourne hotel and then the Hilton on the Park. I've been on several drives up to the Dandenongs and Healesville sanctuary and also a trip to Philip Island to see the fairy penguins. Now that IS a good day out!
Anway - have fun with your new airport and don't annoy the neighbours
Ian
