All hooked up & running now. Fans are working well too!!!
Only have FSX, Accel & Horizon UK VFR scenery installed so far but FPS generally well over 100!! Very happy, now to install all the extra aircraft! The SSD has incredible performance and the caviar black is pretty impressive too.
Thanks for all you help guys.

Good one Rob
You're mentioning fps of 100+/-.. I take it you've not locked the FR's then? I was under the impression 'locking' was the best thing to do but this may be for those with lesser systems

Anyway.. if it works and you're happy, who cares!

Hi Dave
No; unlocked at the moment on the frame rates. Is it worth locking them to something specific? Presumably it'll free up some 'oomph' for the rest of the sim would it?
Cheers

Hiya Rob
There's so much advice out there, it's difficult now to pull the wheat from the chaff. Trying to find a point where all parts of the equation gel to give a single, streamless flow isn't easy and if your system is quick enough for it to be running like that now.. why bother trying anything else. I'm sure a 'Google' would provide many pages of recommendations.. some good, some not so good but these tweaks can come, if required, when you've got loaded what you want
if your system is showing signs of fatigue

I'm glad it's all come together so well first time round.. nothing beats getting the right kit for the job
