Tony (Techy111) started this but successfully managed to blow his pc up before finishing it.. a-hem 8) He now enjoys a life of RC flying which is safer in one way as he can't overclock an RC model but he can, of course, crash one so whether it turns out cheaper in the long run remains to be seen. *-) We shall see :wasntme:

Sadly David is quite correct...my PC days are in the past....this was in my collection of near done repaints ( many of them ) until one tweak too many.... :rtfm: and KABOOMMMMMMMMMM.....or more likely...fizzle.... :((

The expense is high for RC models yes , i'll grant you that Dave..I only fly EP (electric )..but boy is it fun.... If anyone is near Cranford park near Heathrow you'll see me on my days off....on shifts so it might be any day....flying my umpteenth repaired faithful Foam E Wot 4 EP... :excited:

I have a good little collection now of 5 planes and one in the box ready to assemble...i have a large scale Cessna 182 , the wot 4 , a glider , an MX2 aerobatic jobby and have just got a Druine Akrobat....lot safer and MUCH less fiddling... B-)

I'll post a thread one day with piccies to bore you all silly... 8)

All the best everyone.... :)

Hi Tony :hello:

Dunno why but RC always reminds me of that Toyota TV ad where the bloke kicks the door shut on girlies car and 2 days later, he foolishly lets her fly his RC aircraft.. which she does very successfully.. into the ground  Take care not to wind the girlfriend up mate and if you do.. don't let her anywhere near your RC models ;)
