By then Jetstream was the name of all the airliners....the ATP was to be the Jetstream 61 and not the name of an individual specific type.
But going back to the freeware/payware debate.this being an active freeware support forum, payware doesn't get supported as such, other than the odd mention or discussion with an otherwise unavailable model..mainly Heads Up stuff.

Oh is it I thought the J61 is for example like an Avro RJ100 to a BAe 146
Hi James that's what I'm saying..........It was called a Jetstream but was a derivative of the ATP NOT a derivative of the Jetstream 31.....that is a general brand name, not the name given to version of the same basic type.
Anyways the J61 was never sold and what did exist was dumped or scrapped.
The say there is no J31 so a 41 will do (as some do) is worse than saying "I can't find a DC 4 so I've used a DC 7C"....

I did notice that (others are the same too like the JF Vulcan, must save a few FPS) more noticeable at that angle though, but it doesn't detract from what is a great flight experience, which is perfect

Every switch in the Virtual Cockpit works, Vulcan howl on take off, fast start simulation as well.

I must admit, there is a huge gap as we could do with a proper FSX version of the Harrier! I know Iris have made there's and the there are other freeware harriers out there, but still would be a nice touch as it were

Even more so that the legendary aircraft is being withdrawing from active use with the RAF :/ Just a thought

Is this from HJG? Nice aircraft but the FDE is wrong.
Oh is it? In what way?

Cool! Many thanks for the HU, I'll stick to this.
(However it seems it's going to be FSX only)
Cheers,

Am I correct in assuming that FSX can look to a different model file for the VC?
If so can we create a Vickers Viscount VC and use it with Rick Piper's unmatched quality Viscount?
My dream would be to have a Viscount (700) virtual cockpit equal in quality to David Maltby's incredible BAC 111.

Hi Trewimb
Welcome aboard
Nope......it's not possible as the Viscount is not an FS.X native model.

Sorry about the delay I had forgot I posted this. The thrust modeling is all wrong. Idle power, or near to it in the cruise, and impossible to get it too descend.
Mark is aware of it (and tells me he is working on it) but it is not a priority. A real pity as they are really the only DC8's around. I'm aware the 8 was slippery but not this slippery.
