Good for you mate. I most definitely have but who cares.. it's still cheap for the X C130. Looking at the Digital River receipt (SWREG).. I was charged 3.01USD tax and a 5.44USD manual handling charge! The lot (looking at Paypal) came to the aforementioned $28.56USD or £17.96 in real money. I HAVE got a $10 money back voucher against my next purchase which I wasn't going to claim but may well do so now

Well this shows how much I am into classics.

Firstly choose the 767 to have an introductory & familiarisation flight this evening. Just a short one from Kemble to Wroughton. Obviously very little juice in the tanks for this hop. :xgrin:

Really struggled with FPS on the 767. Does not like to move smoothly at all. Barely got into double figures with this thing.

Got to the threshold having been subjected to a slideshow whilst taxiing out to the active. Got pissed off.

Binned the flight. Reset it.

Now flying the 727 from Kemble to Stornoway!

Smooth as silk..

Glad I only paid a tenner for the 767. I think I need a PC the size of Luton to operate it.

Bit gutted as I have an i7 920, 6GB RAM and ATI 4890 1GB. :wall:

Eek mate.. I feel your disappointment :( You have the 757 don't you Eddie.. does that fly ok like the 727?? Never bothered with the CS727 as I already have the Dreamfleet/Flight1 version and THAT was a real cow on the XP3200.

Hi Dave,

the 757 does sup the juice but its a better performer than the 767 by a long stretch but not as PC friendly as the 727.

Kind of dissappointed but I suppose given the cost I can't grumble too much.

Might just leave the 767 to night/IFR/poor visability flying, where I don't need to look out the windows much.

Oh well. Such is life. :S

That's a shame mate. Nothing like waiting for one of these sales to come around for something you really want only to find it kills your pc. Though you didn't pay full whack for it, it still takes the edge off doesn't it :( At least you've had some success with the 72'.. and probably more with that than you'd have had with the Dreamfleet version. If you had a mediocre system, you'd expect a bit of a hit but your's is definitely NOT mediocre. Makes you wonder what the developers used to make em on doesn't it 8)

Fortunately, the FSX C130 runs ok on my E8400 system even though I seem to have ended up paying twice as much as everyone else in the sale :|

Just found another glitch.

Wanted to adjust the 767's weights and config's. So I clicked on the ACE. (Aircraft Config Editor)

The ACE for the 767 is in demo mode. I can adjust weights/pax etc but nothing saves.. so the ACE is as much use as a fishnet condom.

Guess what though?

The 727 ACE works faultlessly! 8)

I see a pattern emerging here. :wall: :wall:

Feel gutted for you guys...i really do....The Level D 767 is worth every penny and very smooth on the FPS...as is the QW757...full price i know....but CS has a bad rep for eating FPS on nearly all rigs... :wall:

But on an aside the CS 130 is a def must have....runs very nice on my E6750 and 8800GTX... ;)

Cheers for your sympathies Tony.

To be honest once I figure out a good set up on the FSX sliders for the 767 then I will be happy.

I guess I'm a little frustrated as I am so used to having sliders way over to the right if not max'd out. :'(

Saying that the 767 is a wonderful looking model with some neat little features.

I just wish I knew what was happening with the ACE though.

True to form I have had no glitches with the 727 whatsoever. It flys, performs and looks beautiful along with its ACE.

No regrets. Both Aircraft are worthy additions to the hangar. Even if the 767 may not see much activity.

I may have been gutted if I had paid full whack for the 767 though. *-)

Eddie, if you log into CS customer support & look in their knowledge base for KB# 4662 you can download a new ACE which fixes the demo issue (at least for me, some uses are still reporting issues)

Your PC should get better fames than that with the 767 *-) Mines a lot slower than yours and I can get 20+ without too much trouble, depending on AI, scenery etc.
