I had the same problem when beta testing her (i.e. ended up on my nose a couple of times) and I too thought it was the brakes...but now and having spoken about it yesterday to some of my flying friends, it might be just down to my so called technique. Its either that or time for a new joystick......a lame excuse I know:)

But whatever it is, it gives me the chance to have another go. I'm really enjoying this aeroplane as most weekends am found in the real thing, so its a pleasure to be able to do this at home. A superb reproduction of the real thing. Well done, Dave!

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Hi Dave

Rgr that.. just wondered if my brake pads had worn! Just taken a Halifax Mk8 to Brussels and don't have time to get it back before I start work again so I think I'll whiz the J1 from there to Calais admiring the countryside as I go ;-)

Goes pretty nicely in FsX too. Added some "shine" with darkened alphas and found a new prop. Love the lines :)

Hmmm, as far as I can remember I used to literally dig my heels into the brakes to stop the old girl on landing and as for the handbrake I'm damned sure that came off something like an old 1960s' Morris van!!!

That's a nice shot Roger. I had a feeling it'd go over to the dark side with the minimum of fuss  I tried the FD on DaveG's native FSX model and but for the contact points needing a little adjustment, it ran pretty much as it does in FS9. Of course, DaveG's model is native FSX and as such will come with all the bits and bobs that FSXers love. The best of both worlds and both are free! What more could we ask for (and no Ben.. nobody mentioned a Belfast!)

It's not my usual thing but I thought I'd see what all the fuss is about  It's lovely and I've found it a home at the Hong Kong Aviation Club. I haven't had any problems yet with either bouncing or braking but that's more likely to be luck than technique. Thanks Dave M. It's very nice indeed.

Ian.. what the hell are you doing :o Ah.. I see. You'll get a much better look at HK and there's room to park it outside the China Fleet Club ;-)
